Imagine Lake Constance around 1850…

Over 150 freight ships sailed, were rowed or punted from one harbour to another. These Lädine (coming from the word meaning “load”) plied the waters of Lake Constance for 500 years with passengers and freight on board.

Today there is only one example of this type of ship on Lake Constance – the historically accurate copy “St Jodok”, which is based in Immenstaad and offers tours on the lake.

Tickets for the Lädine are sold on board. With the “Bodensee Card” you travel for free and with the “Immenstaad Guest Card” there is a discount of 1€. Family tickets are available and bookings are required for groups of 10 or more. Clubs, companies and groups of up to 48 people can charter the ship for private excursions to destinations of their choice.

Timetable information is available from Tourist Information and posters at the harbour in Immenstaad
